Milan, May 3, 2022 – Amici, L’isola dei Famosi and Verissimo (Mediaset), Bridgerton (Netflix) between OTT and Beijing Express (Sky) for pay TV, are broadcast television content more commented by Italians in April. This is what emerges from the continuous monitoring of Social TV carried out on 46 broadcasters in Italy by Talkwalker, a multinational of Consumer Intelligence. Through its Social Content Ratings ™ platform, Talkwalker monitors the Italian market, tracking interactions on social networks concerning the television offer and streaming providers in Italy.
The general ranking of April 2022 sees Amici di Maria De Filippi (Mediaset) in first place with 13.1 million interactions (646 thousand on Facebook, 9.7 million on Instagram, and 2.7 million on Twitter), followed by L ‘island of the famous (Mediaset) with 1.99 million interactions (312 thousand on Facebook, 1.2 million on Instagram and 484 thousand on Twitter). Almost on a par with the second place, Verissimo (Mediaset) closes the podium with 1.97 million interactions of which 249 thousand registered on Facebook, 1.7 million on Instagram and 53 thousand on Twitter. First among the pay channels is Beijing Express (Sky) which with 588,000 interactions, of which 62,000 on Facebook, 391,000 on Instagram and 133,000 on Twitter, ranks 11th.
AMONG THE ‘EIGHT’ FIRST BRIDGERTON ON AIR ON NETFLIX
Among the programs broadcast on streaming platforms, Bridgerton stands out, ranking 8th in the general ranking and first among the OTT publishers, i.e. all those broadcasters that offer content via the Internet, with a total of 953 thousand interactions, of which 2 thousand on Facebook, 838 thousand on Instagram and 111 thousand on Twitter. Followed by Laura Pausini – Nice to meet you (Primevideo) in 13th place with 517 thousand total interactions (83 thousand on Facebook, 417 thousand on Instagram and 17 thousand on Twitter). In third place, shortly after, Elite (Netflix) with 482 thousand interactions (9.6 thousand on Facebook, 440 thousand on Instagram, 27 thousand on Twitter and 5 thousand on YouTube)
IN THE RANKING FOR CHANNELS, SKYSPORT UNO WINS IN FRONT OF CANALE5, SKYSPORT F1 AND NETFLIX
In the ranking by “channels” SkySport Uno (pay TV) in April totaled 38.7 million total interactions (580 thousand on Facebook, 38 million on Instagram and 156 thousand on Twitter), followed by Canale5 (Mediaset) with 20, 5 million interactions (1.8 million on Facebook, 14.8 million on Instagram and 3.8 million on Twitter) and therefore in third place SkySport F1 (pay TV) with 7 million interactions (257 thousand on Facebook, 6, 7 million on Instagram and 33,000 on Twitter) followed by Netflix (OTT) with 6.6 million interactions (146,000 on Facebook, 6.1 million on Instagram and 333,000 on Twitter).
“Specifically – explains Stefano Russo, Director Media & Sports of Talkwalker – pay TVs generated 53% of interactions, free-to-air broadcasters, 38%, and streaming, OTTs, 3% . While the genres that had the largest share of engagement in April were 47% talent / reality and 30% entertainment; the remaining 23% is split between talk shows and political insights, TV series, films and sports, with the exception of major sporting events. “
TG ALLNEWS: SKYTG24 WINS IN APRIL WITH 4 MILLION INTERACTIONS
Taking into consideration, instead, the three main allnews channels SkyTG24 brings home 4 million interactions (of which 1.2 million on Facebook, 2.7 million on Instagram and 128 thousand on Twitter), Mediaset TgCom24 2.1 million interactions (1.5 million on Facebook, 410 thousand on Instagram and 146 thousand on Twitter) and therefore RaiNews24 with 457 thousand interactions (273 thousand on Facebook, 122 thousand on Instagram and 62 thousand on Twitter).
“As a final figure, we also note that in April we tracked 109.3 million overall interactions on social networks relating to all the networks we monitor daily – comments Stefano Russo of Talkwalker – Of all the social networks, the platform that was the most engaging was Instagram responsible for 81% of all interactions generated. “
